Hearts’ Home Acoustics continues to show their support both backstage and onstage, and enjoyed the opportunity to meet the Broadway Stars. Chuck Wagner, who performed the role of “Beast” in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, scooped up young Patrick Rutherford for a backstage photo. The Boerne Star continues to provide newspaper coverage and support for all Boerne Performing Arts events. Brian Cartwright, Editor and Publisher, and his wife, Dayna, were backstage prior to the exuberant performance by these young performers from China. The Boerne Star has featured stories about the visiting artists that provide readers special insight into the touring schedule and life of world-class performing artists, and has provided support to Boerne Performing Arts for all four seasons.
A “Blast from the Brass” greeted Authentic Custom Homes LLC, sponsors for The Canadian Brass. Israel and Tricia Pena, joined by Sally Pena, were backstage to visit with the five members of this world-renown brass quintet. Authentic Customs Homes has provided support to Boerne Performing Arts since inception in 2012, and enjoy spending the concert evening with their extended family at each performance.
Hearts’ Home Acoustics, a locally owned music store in Boerne that specializes in acoustic instruments and musical instruction, has sponsored Boerne Performing Arts events since 2012. Continuing to promote the performing arts are (Middle Row from left to right): Peggy and David Orf (owners), Kristin Jackson (instructor) and (Back Row left to right): Chaney Rutherford (manager) and Tyler Jackson (instructor).
Representatives from The City of Boerne enjoyed meeting the members of The Ten Tenors following their two and a half hour performance. The Christmas spirit is evidence by the smiles of Jeff Haberstroh (City Councilman) and his wife, Melissa; Mayor Mike Schultz and his wife Carol, Sandy Mattick (Finance Director) and Mark Mattick (Fire Marshal).
Cordillera Ranch sponsored 102 Years of Broadway…their fourth season to sponsor a Boerne Performing Arts event. Residents of Cordillera in attendance were (left to right): Donna Biddle, Becky Gross, Carla Northington, and Kay Johnson. Cast members on left are Ricky Adams (Phantom), Chuck Wagner (Jekyll & Hyde) and on right are Carter Calvert (Always Patsy Cline) and Danny Zolli (Jesus Christ Superstar).
Boerne Kendall County Economic Development Corporation continues their support for Boerne Performing Arts for the fourth season. Providing the initial seed money for Boerne Performing Arts, the BKCEDC’s goal of enriching the quality of life in Boerne, has been a main focus in the development of bringing professional performing arts to the community. Dan Rogers and Melissa Milton, representing the EDC, enjoy meeting the young members of New Shanghai Circus.
Jefferson Bank is “Family Banking with a Texas Attitude!” Their sponsorship of the New Shanghai Circus was impacted by the “family” show being offered by Boerne Performing Arts. Over 100 student tickets were purchased for this evening event, the highest number of student tickets sold to date. Tiffany and Justin Boerner, from Jefferson Bank, take the time to have their photo taken backstage with one of the featured acrobats prior to her taking the stage for the evening’s show.
Hill Country Memorial-Boerne’s Director of Patient Experience, Mark Peterson, experienced a few laughs with the Fab Five of The Canadian Brass. Mark had the opportunity to visit with the five players during the intermission of the performance on January 30. HCM-Boerne has become involved with Boerne Performing Arts after the opening of their new offices in Boerne in October of 2014.

The GVTC Foundation has continued their support of Boerne Performing Arts and their FOR KIDS programs. Paula White, President of the Board of Directors for the Foundation, has enjoyed backstage moments since the Inaugural performance by the Vienna Boys Choir in 2012. The Foundation’s mission to profoundly enhance the quality of life in the communities they serve, has benefited over 12,000 local children in the FOR KIDS programs presented by Boerne Performing Arts.

For the fourth consecutive season, the BOERNE CONVENTION AND VISITORS BUREAU has sponsored Boerne Performing Arts events. Surrounded by the cast of VOCA PEOPLE, Wendy Little, Marketing Specialist of the CVB, enjoys visiting in Voca language with the artists prior to their command performance to a full house! The Boerne CVB serves as one of the official box office locations for Boerne Performing Arts and has been instrumental in the success of bringing the world of performing arts to Boerne.
Wendy Little and Larry Woods of the BOERNE CONVENTION & VISITORS BUREAU enjoy relaxing with Time for Three following their student outreach program for 1,000 local students. The BOERNE CVB has provided financial support for all three seasons of Boerne Performing Arts, in addition to serving as one of the official box offices for ticketing.
MORNINGSIDE MINISTRIES AT MENGER SPRINGS has partnered with Boerne Performing Arts since the inception of the organization. In addition to sponsoring THE STEPCREW, Menger Springs annually hosts a Greater Boerne Chamber Mixer with Boerne Performing Arts. Residents of Morningside Ministries at Menger Springs enjoyed the opportunity to meet the cast members of The StepCrew.
THE BOERNE STAR has been instrumental in the success of Boerne Performing Arts since the organization’s inception in 2011. Brian Cartwright and Dayna Cartwright enjoy a moment with The Ten Tenors after having sponsored TAO and The 5 Browns in previous seasons.
HILL COUNTY MEMORIAL opened their newest location in Boerne, Texas, on Wednesday, October 22. At their Grand Opening Event, a Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce Mixer, the VOCA PEOPLE made a “surprise” appearance and entertained guests while touring the new facility. HCM-Boerne, sponsors for VOCA PEOPLE, greeted the cast backstage prior to the Thursday evening performance. Representing HCM-Boerne (left to right) are: Mark Peterson, Laurie Broesche, Trip Dickens and Heather Dickens.
HEARTS’ HOME ACOUSTICS sponsors Time for Three, their third “stringed instrument” sponsorship for Boerne Performing Arts. In the past, they provided funding for Bowfire (2012), Celtic Nights (2013) and Time for Three (2014). Representing the local music store are: David Orf (owner), Ranaan Meyer (Tf3), Chaney Rutherford (manager) with his son, Pierson Rutherford, Store Employee Joe Gonzales, Peggy Orf, Nick Kendall (Tf3) and Zach DePue (Tf3).

The EDC/GVTC conference room hosts all the organizational committee meetings for Boerne Performing Arts. Following the Irish presentation, members of Celtic Nights enjoyed visiting with representatives from the EDC. Following their performance, the cast of Drumline Live led the audience to the lobby where the artists had an opportunity to meet ticket holders and the sponsors for this event.
