With the opening of the Boerne Independent School District’s second high school campus in 2007, emphasis was placed on the development of an extensive performing arts facility. A state-of-the-art auditorium seating approximately 985, provides a clear line of vision from every seat in the house and has received accolades for its acoustics as well as its aesthetic qualities. Surrounding the auditorium are rehearsal facilities for band, orchestra, dance, choir and drama, in addition to a spacious and contemporary two-story lobby.  Boerne ISD has an award-winning Fine Arts Program. In three of the last four years BISD was recognized as a “Best Communities for Music Education” Award-winner, as one of the top fine arts districts in the United States. BISD’s fine arts programs have captured multiple state championships and are consistently rated among the best in Texas.
